Dane Kristofer Anderson is a lawyer in Honolulu, HI, who concentrates his practice on copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property. He was born and raised on the island of Oahu and holds a special appreciation for the works of artists, authors, and photographers that capture the natural and cultural beauty of Hawaii.
Dane received his juris doctorate degree from the University of Hawaii’s William S. Richardson School of Law in 2010, and a bachelor's degree with honors from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2006.
Dane is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Hawaii. He is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
Dane chaired the Intellectual Property and Technology Section of the Hawaii State Bar, and he currently serves as an elected board member of that section. He also served as an elected member of the board for the William S. Richardson School of Law Alumni Association.
From mid-2010 to 2013, Dane worked at the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney in Honolulu, HI. As a trial prosecutor, Dane gained valuable courtroom and trial experience handling numerous hearings and trials. Dane has worked with countless victims of violent and property crimes and has obtained convictions in jury trials for felony and domestic violence cases, and in jury trials and bench trials for misdemeanor, DUI, and traffic cases.
Dane also previously worked for a Honolulu-based law firm and for the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii.
While in law school, Dane served as a staff writer for the University of Hawaii Law Review. He completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Chief Judge Susan Oki Mollway of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii. He was a writer and oralist on the Intellectual Property Moot Court Team, and he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Business Associations. He was elected president of the Student Bar Association and was a co-founder of the law school's Kayaking Club.
